Vitality Health Approved Counselling in Ross-on-Wye

Vitality approved counsellor Ross-on-Wye

If you have private health insurance with VitalityHealth, you may be able to access counselling sessions with me through your policy.

I am pleased to confirm that Roz’s Counselling Corner is now an approved provider with VitalityHealth, which means eligible clients may be able to use their cover for counselling sessions, depending on their individual policy terms and level of mental health benefit.

How does counselling through VitalityHealth work?

VitalityHealth policies can vary, so it is important to check what your specific plan includes before booking. In many cases, clients can self refer for talking therapies such as counselling, without needing to see a GP first, though some policies or circumstances may still require GP or Consultant involvement. Vitality’s core cover commonly includes access to talking therapies, often up to eight sessions per plan year, subject to policy terms.

Before booking your first session

1. Check your cover with VitalityHealth
Contact Vitality via their Care Hub, app, or customer service team to confirm:

  • Whether counselling or talking therapies are included in your policy
  • Whether pre authorisation is required
  • How many sessions are covered
  • Whether there are any excess fees or limits

2. Have your policy and claim details ready
VitalityHealth has confirmed that I do not require a provider number. Instead, invoices are processed using your policy number and claim number.

3. Ensure your treatment is pre authorised
Under Vitality’s terms, treatment may not always be covered unless authorised in advance, so it is your responsibility as the policyholder to confirm this before sessions begin.

Session Options

I offer:

  • Face-to-face counselling in Ross-on-Wye
  • Online counselling across the UK
  • Telephone counselling

This allows flexibility depending on what feels right for you and what your policy supports.

Important to Know

Because every VitalityHealth plan is different:

  • Cover may be limited
  • Session numbers may vary
  • Consultant or GP referral may sometimes be required
  • Pre authorisation is essential
